Princess was rescued 2 years ago from the country where she had been abandoned and lived with over 12 dogs and several chickens and cats.  Princess and all the other dogs had severe cases of mange to the point they looked like old, hairless sharpie dogs.  All the dogs were cared for and loving homes were found except for Princess and Pup.

Due to a horrible and painful skin infection (she is cured and healthy now) every time she was touched, she screamed in pain.  As a result, she associates being touched with pain and is scared of humans touching her.

At first, she will bark and yelp around new people.  If ignored, she will come around and eventually bond with you.  Once she knows you, she will be your best buddy.  She will follow you around; and has a phenomenal personality and will make you a wonderful companion.

Therefore, the perfect home for Princess is one full of patience, understanding, time, and a yard where she can run and play.  She loves human contact but needs time to get to know you.  Princess was kept in a foster home for several weeks where she learned to stay in her crate and was house broken as long as she was taken out on a regular basis.

She loves playing with stuffed toys and will entertain you with her antics when given one.   She walks nicely on a leash.  While in her foster home, she would bring all her toys and chase the “other” dog in the mirror to entice the “other” dog to play.  Unfortunately, the foster parent could not keep her due to issues with the resident dog – not the fault of Princess.  Princess is full grown and is of medium size – 30 pounds. Under the loving tenderness of someone patient, Princess will thrive and capture your heart.  Princess is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, walks nicely on a leash, and knows sit.
